Trip Video: Canadian Rockies

I'm back from my blogging break and what better way to come back than with a bang! Specifically the bang of a brand new, albeit overdue, trip video. Making this video was my favorite editing experience to date - with so much footage to work with, I got to really whittle the clips down to the cream of the crop.

Scenes from New Zealand: Rotorua

During college, I was incredibly fortunate to be working my way towards a major with a study abroad requirement; International Security & Conflict Resolution. In the inaugural year of that requirement a group study abroad opportunity took a small number of us to New Zealand. Little did I know at the time how special this country would become to me - I now like to refer to it as "my spirit country."

Walking Northwest Seattle

Of all the places I’ve lived, I’ve never explored any of them by foot the way I have in my adopted hometown of Seattle, Washington. Perhaps it’s something about the unique personality of the Ballard and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods or perhaps it has more to due with the lack of West-East/East-West public transit. Over the course of a typical weekend, I find myself taking a number of walks to explore the neighborhood along with my husband and our pup.
