Gluten Free In Seattle, Washington: Organic in the University District
Before I get in to the rest of this post I have to write something about the amazing smoothy that is pictured above. It's called Chocolate Cherry and it's just about one of the best things I have ever tasted. It's a blend of bananas, cherries, raw cacao, and vanilla hemp milk and tasted so much like a chocolate milk shake that I wanted to jump up and down a whole lot.
The creator of this wonderful beverage was Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe which specializes in raw, vegan, and gluten free foods.
This was my first time at Chaco Canyon and I think it might be my new favorite spot in Seattle. Again, that smoothy was delicious, but their menu is also filled with gluten free options including house made gluten free bread! I got a Avocado, Tomato, and Sprout sandwich with a salad and it was really delicious. The bread was moist and the crust was crisp.
Another thing that Chaco Canyon offers is a full coffee and espresso bar with a couple of non-dairy and non-soy milk options. I'm planning a return trip for an almond milk latte soon!
