I'm Back. So Lets Look Back

So I took a bit of a break.

In mid November I went to Camp Mighty in Palm Springs, CA. Then I immediately jetted off to spend a month living in Brooklyn, NY for work (did you catch my NYC Picture A Day project on Instagram?). When I left there, I came home for 12 hours or so to repacked my bags to spend the rest of December driving from Seattle to Los Angeles, to go to a wedding and see family in the Bay Area for the holidays.

When I finally made it back to Seattle, I felt the need to host a special party, a Merry Thankschristmakkah New Years Eve Dinner. You see, I'm a big holiday person and this year I missed celebrating three of those at home. Our menu included Maple & Sage Roast Turkey, Picadillo, latkes, stuffing, a kale and crouton salad, green beans with meyer lemon zest, Finnish Buns, Cacao Spice Angel Food Cake, Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, Moravian Molasses Cookies, and sugar cookies.

And then after all that, I got back to work, settled things around the house, and now I need to work on settling my mind.

2012 was a whirlwind.

I went to Anchorage, AK about 3 times, drove up and down almost the entire west coast of the United States, spent a month living in Brooklyn and another month traveling Iceland, France, and Spain. Not to mention the other trips to Washington DC, Denver, San Diego, Boise, Portland, and Las Vegas. Things have been so busy, I still haven't had a chance to tell you about more gluten free finds in Portland, Denver, New York City, and my experience traveling in France and Spain.

On the non-travel front, I finally conquered my fear of gluten free cake baking with a Cacao Spice Angel Food and Pumpkin Spice Bundt, started the Edible Garden Project, opened Parsley & Co., attended my first blogging conference, and started a life list.

2012 was a good one, but I think 2013 is going to rock.
